Crucifixion

Amidst the public display of humiliation and warnings to follow society’s rules, as suggested by the figure of Adam on the cross, hope continues to shine. His golden Orí, indicating the spiritual self and destiny, radiates brightly, cutting through the darkness of racism and disempowerment. On the left is the figure of Yemayá, whose Orí also blazes in the night. Dressed in a luxurious golden-patterned blue robe, she looks after Adam, staying present during his crucifixion.
